What is the ADC Diaspora EXPO - Africa (ADCDEA)?

This ADC Diaspora EXPO – AFRICA is a two-year initiative that when successfully implemented will result in an sustainable foreign direct investment strategy leveraging the Black Diaspora, Diaspora partnership development plan, strategic master plan for African-American business investment in Uganda, engagement and outreach strategy for the Afro-Caribbean market, Black Diaspora business market penetration for Ugandans and East Africans, creation of a bi-lateral development project pipeline for the Black Diaspora businesses and connecting Black Diaspora elected leaders who create policy to enhance the bi-lateral relationship and repatriation policy for the Right to Return to Uganda as a result of this initiative.

The President of Uganda in 2022 called for the Return of the Diaspora and apologized for the hand that the African leaders played in this historic injustice done to her own people. Thus, in the spirit of forgiveness, unity, and Ubuntu we have chosen Uganda as the country to Discover what East Africa has to offer for those wanting to Return to Africa as a member of the Black Diaspora and to educate Africans on who the Black Diaspora really are.

We must take our time to learn about our differences so that we can teach each other how to properly engage ourselves in political, economic, and social exchange for the development of Africa as our Ancestors always dreamed. We are gathering 30 countries (USA, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, France, Israel, Colombia, Peru, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, Grenada, St. Lucia, Suriname, Brazil, Venezuela, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Martin, Barbados, Bahamas, Ecuador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica, London, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Netherlands, and Dominican Republic) from across the 6th Region of Africa to represent the food, culture, music, clothes, etc. of their country in Uganda as part of the program of activities for the Black Diaspora Block Party where we will shut down a street in Uganda and showcase each of the countries that raised an African community throughout the last 400 years.

The Youth Entrepreneurship/Investment Fair that will take place for the 3 days (Tuesday to Thursday) of the ADC Diaspora Expo will feature 200 Youth Entrepreneurs from Uganda through our partnership with Ugandan based company, Trail Blazer Consult! Integrating the indigenous population into the activities of this program, planning, and follow up institutions to be built was of paramount importance to all of our ADC Ambassadors. Through our office and our partners, we are preparing to receive hundreds of companies interested in outsourcing contract work across the 6th Region and the continent of Africa that can benefit for the products or services that will be featured at the Youth Entrepreneurship/Investment Village.

It is important to find valuable assets in the human capital market that East Africa has to offer and for the export of foreign made products or services into Uganda and the East African market from the Diaspora businesses of the 6th Region is an actualization of the AfCFTA that has never been discussed or planned for and the ADC Diaspora EXPO - Africa is bringing to Kampala for the next 2 years, before moving on to the next African country as part of our 2024 – 2030 Strategic plan!

The ADC Diaspora EXPO - Africa is an historic event that brings together Black Diaspora professionals, entrepreneurs, corporations, organizations, pedagogy, ecumenical leaders, and individuals from across the 6th Region of Africa providing a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange as part of the ADC-NSA 2024 – 2030 Strategic Plan. It serves as an opportunity to connect the Black Diaspora with the immense potential and opportunities in Uganda and thus East Africa as a whole for those wanting the RETURN TO RETURN, including:

  1. Investment Opportunities in infrastructure development, agriculture, media/entertainment, real estate, energy, tourism, manufacturing, health, and technology.  The Diaspora can also contribute to job creation, skills transfer, and overall economic development.

  2. Through Entrepreneurship and Business Development, the Diaspora can get involved through partnering with local entrepreneurs, establishing joint ventures, or launching independent ventures that align with Uganda's development priorities.  In doing so, the Diaspora will foster entrepreneurship and creating sustainable businesses, contribute to job creation, innovation, and economic diversification.

  3. The diaspora often possesses valuable knowledge, expertise, and global perspectives that can be shared with local communities and businesses in Uganda through knowledge and skills transfer by creating mentorship programs, study abroad programs, cultural exchange programs, training initiatives, or knowledge-sharing platforms can facilitate the transfer of skills, technology, and best practices. This exchange of knowledge can contribute to capacity building, enhance local capabilities, and support Uganda's human capital development efforts.
